Train to Become a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

What is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)?

A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is a versatile healthcare professional trained to perform both clinical and administrative duties in medical offices, clinics, and outpatient centers.

Medical Assistants are often the first and last point of contact for patients — taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, and supporting providers with patient care. They also manage important administrative tasks like scheduling, medical records, and insurance verification.

Our CCMA Program at Stick It Phlebotomy is a 32-week comprehensive course designed to prepare you for a career in:

  • Medical Assisting — patient intake, vitals, exams, injections, and patient education
  • Phlebotomy — venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen handling, and lab processing
  • Electrocardiography (EKG) — lead placement, cardiac monitoring, and rhythm recognition

Students train with hands-on practice, complete off-site clinical hours, and graduates are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CCMA Certification Exam. Upon completion, you’ll also earn Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.

Medical Assistants are in high demand and play a crucial role in today’s healthcare system — working alongside physicians, nurses, and specialists to deliver quality patient care.
