Thank you for your registration in NSU's Phlebotomy Technician Training Program via online offered in partnership with Stick It Phlebotomy, scheduled to be held September 12, 2022, through November 11, 2022, at our NSU Cenla Campus in Alexandria.
There will be a mandatory face-to-face orientation meeting on Monday, September 12, at the NSU Cenla Campus, 1410 Neel Kearby Boulevard, Alexandria, LA, 71303.
We will discuss the online process to complete the phlebotomy course. You will be given the tools needed to use the NHA modules and Stick It Phlebotomy tutorial videos and lectures.
Remember to bring the following:
1. High school diploma, GED, or high school transcript
2. Government-issued ID
3. $50 Material fee to be paid to the instructor via cash, or card
Once we have completed the online lecture portion of the class, we will meet face-to-face for a five-day skills lab where you will learn the hands-on skills needed in phlebotomy.
Your skills week is scheduled for November 7 -11, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the NSU Cenla Campus.

It may take 3-7 days to gain access to your coursework within the NHA, but there is still plenty to do to keep you busy!
After completing this course the NHA will grant you a NATIONAL license as a Phlebotomy Technician. This will enable you to work in any state in the nation, however SOME states require an additional STATE license.
There is NO EXTRA COURSEWORK OR QUALIFICATIONS; ONLY A FEE TO THE STATE.
Louisiana does not YET require a state license, however it is recommended.
